Cover Reveal: Hero, Cursed by Diantha Jones

I'm so excited today to share the gorgeous cover for Hero, Cursed which is Swindle aka Lenka Tahile's book! Scroll down for the cover and don't forget to add it to your TBR list along with all of Diantha's other Greek myth books (which are all fabulous)!

~

Before he knew the Oracle...
Before he knew the Quad...
Before the Great Unknown threatened his world...
He was a hero, cursed forever.

Cover Designed by: Colin F. Barnes
Publication Date: March 18, 2014
Genre: YA Mythology
Series: Mythos: Stories from Olympus #2/Oracle of Delphi #3.5

*WARNING* To be read after Prophecy of Solstice's End (Oracle of Delphi #3)
Contains MAJOR spoilers!

Shunned by a family that doesn't understand him, demigod Lenka Tahile aka "Swindle" is a complete loner and he likes it that way. Then he meets the hero, Ace Remedy, the brother of an infamous demigod Prince, and his life goes from bad to worse. Ace is loud, rude, and disruptive to his peaceful existence in every way. He's also hilarious and daring, and Swindle ends up finding a friend just when he thought he'd never have another.

But little does he know, becoming friends with Ace was all part of the Fates' plan. Now his past is slowly coming back to haunt him and there's nothing he can do to stop it. Nothing but try not to bring to light the lost love, the failed hopes, and the cursed existence that he would kill to keep in the dark.

Five Facts about Hero, Cursed

1. Lenka Tahile is a South African name. The MC was born in South Africa.

2. "Swindle" is Lenka's celestial name. He is a son of Hermes. Figure it out.

3. The hawk on the cover is not a tattoo. His name is Bill and he's Swindle's Fauna Morph, an animal that morphs into a weapon on command.

4. Though it isn't showcased on the cover, Swindle has extremely curly hair. Out of control, I tell you.

5. Just like Solar, Defeated, this novella switches back and forth between the present and the past, and reveals what life was like for Swindle before the Oracle of Delphi came along.

Blog Tour: Prophecy of Solstice's End

Today is my stop on the blog tour for Prophecy of Solstice's End which is book 3 in the Oracle of Delphi series by Diantha Jones, one of the nicest authors ever. I will be sharing my review and then you should check out the book links and find the giveaways at the bottom of the post.

 The Book
Summer Solstice is here. Let the games begin.

Nothing but lies (some of them her own) and deceit have brought Chloe to Olympus for the Solstice Olympic Games. As the Oracle and the special guest of the King of Myth, Chloe becomes immersed in a life of unfathomable luxury, taunting history, and overwhelming excitement. Though scheming and untrustworthy, the gods remain on their best behavior as the tension and anticipation builds around the outcome of the Quest of the Twelve Labors, the deadliest competition of the Games. All seems well on the celestial front...until athletes start turning up dead and a philosopher missing for months returns with a most terrifying story...

But that’s not all.

As Strafford confronts his troubled past and more is learned about the Great Unknown Prophecy, Chloe grows close to another, setting off a chain of events that will bring her face-to-face with a truth that will rock both of her worlds to their core.

And it’ll all happen before Solstice’s end...

 My Thoughts
The day I started Prophecy of Solstice's End...was one of the best days ever!
Excited to finally find out what happens after Prophecy of the Setting Sunrise I jumped into this a few days after receiving it. The book starts off three weeks after the ending of Prophecy of the Setting Sunrise as Chloe Clever and friends travel to Olympus at the request/order of Zeus. During their stay, demigods are being murdered, the war of the gods is coming to a head and Chloe is stuck in the middle of it, trying to save them all. Complete with her usual action, romance and the Greek mythology that I love, Ms. Jones kept me glued to my Kindle. With rich detail and fun characters, there is never a dull moment. I can't really say much about the story without giving away the first two books but the mystery continues from book to book as Chloe works to solve the Great Unknown Prophecy and save the ones she loves.
Even though I love all of the Oracle of Delphi characters I must mention my favorite first, Ace Remedy. To me, Ace Remedy is one of the best characters in the history of book boyfriends and he really got to take a lead in Prophecy of Solstice's End. Issues with his brother Strafford cause him to act out a bit and in the end I got to see how strong their relationship really is which made me love the Irish boys even more. Then there's Swindle, aka Lenka Tahile. DUDE. What I learned of Swindle's history completely blew my mind and some of his actions have me wondering what the heck is up with him lately but he's pretty kick-butt with his new attitude. In Prophecy of Solstice's End we're finally introduced to the well-known gods of Greek Mythology. Zeus, Hera and Poseidon make first appearances and Apollo, Hermes and Athena are back keeping things interesting.
I pretty much love every single one of Diantha's characters whether they're nice or evil and you can't help but find something to love about them.

I absolutely loved this book and it's the highest I've rated one in the Oracle of Delphi series. With a fun and adventurous plot, characters you root for and a brilliant world to disappear to, Prophecy of Solstice's End does not disappoint.

Prophecy of the Setting Sunrise Blog Tour: Day 1

Review, Cover Reveal of Solar, Defeated and Giveaway

~~~
It’s official. Myth is doomed.
And it’s all Chloe Clever’s fault.
Still as whacked out as ever, Chloe is now faced with an even uglier truth: Not only is she the Pythia of the Great Unknown, but she is more powerful than she ever imagined and only the manifestations of her prophetic mind can save them all now.
With her Prince boyfriend, Strafford, and the Quad Fraternity always armed and ready to annihilate the opposition, she will embark on a mission to stop a great power that could consume every god in Myth...and everyone else she’s come to love.
But the worst is still to come.
Dark, painful secrets are revealed, threatening to tear Strafford from her arms, and just when she thinks the future could not look more grim, she is betrayed in the worst way.
With the heavens crumbling down around her, she must hurry to find a way to set things right. But will she be in time to save the one she loves most in the world from a fate that may be more dangerous than her own?
 Short and Sweet Review
 Warning: There is a bit of a spoiler if you haven't read Prophecy of the Most Beautiful yet so beware!
I have to start off by saying that this book did not disappoint! I want to shout from the rooftops about how much I enjoyed it!  Fangirling over for a moment, Prophecy of the Setting Sunrise really was an amazing read, continuing the story from Prophecy of the most Beautiful.
We're with Chloe as she searches for her kidnapped brother, Benjy. Along with her Prince boyfriend Strafford and the band of guardians known as The Quad, they face some of their toughest challenges yet, including The Labyrinth. There's mystery, action, plenty of "snoggin'" as Ace Remedy loves to point out, an amazing look at the Greek myths and we're introduced to a ton of new characters.
I'm back to fangirling but I just can't help myself. I was so happy to have Ace back and I just can't get enough of my Irishman.
So, if you love Greek mythology, hot guys and a good mystery, then you should definitely check out Prophecy of the Setting Sunrise.
Character Interview: Ace Remedy
I am very excited to be able to interview Ace Remedy from Prophecy of the Most Beautiful today! Diantha Jones was nice enough to let me borrow him for a bit.
Thank you for stopping by Book Bird Reviews today Ace. Before we start though I have a message for you from a wonderful friend of mine. Stephanie from Bookfever says hi. *smiles*
Oh yeah, Stephanie. My bro told me abou' her. Cute thing, he said she is. Is there like, a secret society of cute bloggers or somethin'? 'Cause we're two-for-two for bloggin' cuties right now. *smiles*
So Ace, can you tell us a little about your tattoo?
The tat. Hmm, not much to say abou' it. It's part tribute to my Da, part tribute to Strafford, I guess. I know a face tat is a bold statement and all, but I'm proud of who I am. And I want everyone who looks me in the eyes to know it.
What's your favorite kind of music?
*pulls a pair of drumsticks from back pocket* Anythin' with a beat, wan. *taps out a rythym* But I prefer music tha' could possibly start a riot.
Are you single?
*stops drumming and smiles* Why? Are you in the market? *chuckles* I'm single, wan, and unfortunately, I'm not sure how much more lovin' our fraternity can take. Strafford and Chloe have gotten bloody nauseatin'. All the sweet looks and smiles. I gag often.
What type of girl do you like?
*grins* You mean, do I like mortal girls? O' course I do, wan. I like ALL girls. Usually I go for nymphs though. The Dryads, tree nymphs, are my favorite 'cause they're feisty. I like 'em feisty. *winks*
How would you spend your perfect day?
My perfect day would definitely involve swords and blood. A good fight always gets me going. But in the event tha' there are a lack of idiots willin' to duel me, I like chillin' out with Strafford, doing bro stuff. I mean, he's not really a hang-out kind of fella, but he doesn't mind havin' me around, I guess.
*looks down* Things have been hard for him. For all of us, really. Before Chloe came along, I couldn' recall the last time he'd smiled or seemed happy. So I guess, every day tha' I see my big bro smile is the perfect day.
*looks up; grins wickedly* But in the strong likelihood tha' Strafford is pissed off on my perfect day, a day-long make-out session with one of the cute bloggers from your secret society would do jus' fine.
*blushes and clears throat* That's great to know Ace. Ladies? I call dibs on Ace make-out sessions.
~~~

I would like to send a big thank you out to Diantha for letting me chat with Ace. I had a blast and hope to have him again soon.

Review: Prophecy of the Most Beautiful by Diantha Jones

She has a destiny so great that even the gods fear her.

Constant hallucinations and the frequent conversations with the voices in her head, have earned eighteen-year-old Chloe Clever the not-so-coveted title of "Whack Job" in her home town of Adel, Georgia. With the onslaught of prescription medications and therapists threatening to push her over the edge, she wishes for a life far away from the one she has, a life where she is destined to be more than the butt of everyone's jokes and mockery.

Be careful what you wish for has never rung more true.

After living through an attack from her worst nightmare, she awakens to find herself far from home, surrounded by glorious riches and servants…and a few demigods who enjoy killing things. Upon learning that her favorite rockstar is an Olympian god, she is thrust into her new life as the Oracle of Delphi, the prophesier of the future, and the great Pythia that the gods have been anxiously awaiting to arrive for centuries. Setting out to fulfill the prophecy she has been given and to keep her family safe from a demigod Princess that wants her dead, Chloe learns of how great she is to become, all the while fighting mythical monsters, evading divine assassins and trying to outwit the ever-cunning Greek gods who harbor secrets of their own. In the hopes of discovering the Most Beautiful and the truth of her destiny, she strives to uncover the mysteries of the demigod Prince who has sworn to protect her with his life…and threatens to win her heart in the process.

 My Review
Prophecy of the Most Beautiful follows Chloe Clever as she struggles with the voices in her head. High school is hell for her and one unlucky day her life changes forever after nearly dying. She's pulled into a world full of Olympian gods and demigods where she discovers she's actually a prophet, the Oracle of St. Delphi. With help from her new demigod friends and the difficult Strafford Law, Chloe sets out to fulfill a prophecy. Battling angry gods, hell hounds and other mythical beings Chloe and company will risk everything to fulfill the Prophecy of the Most Beautiful.
I loved Chloe and she was such a fierce and loyal character and her demigod crush Strafford Law is tough but caring but my favorite characters were Ace and Swindle. Funny, loyal, sometimes reckless and Swindle is quite the thief.
I highly recommend Prophecy of the Most Beautiful to all Greek mythology addicts. You'll find plenty of action, romance and mystery as you try to help figure out the meaning of the Prophecy of the Most Beautiful.
