 My Thoughts
Dream of Me was my first read of 2016 and it did not disappoint, although there were parts of the book that frustrated me.

I had a hard time liking Glory in this book. In Wish For Me she was a kick-ass chick but in this she drove me quite insane. She'd do something dumb telling herself she knew just how wrong it was but would do it anyways, and then turned right around, and would admit that she should have never done what she just did in the previous chapter. I can understand the occasional screw-up but it felt never-ending this time around. I was also bothered by how Glory and Irving's relationship seemed to blow up so often, they were very back and forth with each other.

Now, having said all that I did enjoy Dream of Me. I adore A. Star's books, and they are pretty fast reads. I loved the steampunk creations, and Irving's airship (so awesome), and Qazi the pilot was a fun new addition to the story. It's hard to say a lot about the story itself without giving anything away but it's like nothing else I've read.

Overall, Dream of Me was a great read. A little frustrating for me (I have a hard time liking female MCs sometimes) but a fun read. It has plenty of adventure, and romance, there's even an Irving chapter too (I love male POV), and the ending was pretty bad-ass. So, if you're a fan of fantasy and romance I definitely recommend this series for you.

Review: Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

Title: Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)
Author: Katie McGarry
Published: 2012 by Harlequin Teen
Genre: Contemporary, Romance, Young Adult
Rating: 5 Stars
Synopsis:
So wrong for each other...and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My Thoughts
So, I have not been on an emotional ride like Pushing the Limits in forever...my heart is still recovering from this epic book and gods does McGarry punch you in the feels. The story of Echo Emerson and Noah Hutchins has given me hope that I can still find YA romance that makes you give a damn and root for the characters.

The synopsis pretty much says everything that I could about Pushing the Limits without giving the story away. There are still plenty of turns to the story and McGarry has written such human characters with so many flaws that you can't help but fall in love with every single one of them. There are no perfect peeps in this one and I love that. The book is from Echo and Noah's POVs and getting inside their heads was magic. Noah with his cursing and Echo's struggle to remember what happened to her kept me crying and feeling their pain as the story went.

Overall, I obviously freaking loved everything about Pushing the Limits. The romance was sweet and hot in spots and the characters one-of-a-kind. So if you love a good romance you can't lose with this one.

Tome
by A. Star

Publication Date: Summer 2015
Series: Knights of the Joust #1
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance

I knew Tome was going to ruin my life the second I laid eyes on him.

It wasn’t the sexy tattoos or his deep black eyes that warned me of danger. It was his secret. The one he never spoke of. The one he never meant for me to find out about. But then we fell in love and I got tangled up in his world of fast cars and underground street racing. And that’s when it happened.

He ruined me.

*****

I knew I was going to destroy Jules’ the moment she walked into my life. I didn’t know when, I didn’t know how. But I knew it was inevitable.

I wanted to love her and so I did. But then my secret caught up with me and exploded in my face. It wasn’t supposed to happen this way and I never could have imagined how bad it would be.
I destroyed her. I destroyed us. I destroyed our love.

And now I have nothing.
