Giveaway: The Magic Warble by Victoria Simcox

Giveaway time guys! Victoria Simcox has offered to give e-books of her middle-grade book The Magic Warble to 3 lucky winners. It is a book for younger readers but it sounds like a wonderful read for all ages.

Dwarfs, gnomes, fairies, talking animals, and an evil queen all these and more can be found in The Magic Warble, an enchanting tale of adventure and friendship. Twelve-year-old Kristina Kingsly feels like the most unpopular girl in her school. The kids all tease her, and she never seems to fit in. But when Kristina receives an unusual Christmas gift, she suddenly finds herself magically transported to the land of Bernovem, home of dwarfs, gnomes, fairies, talking animals and the evil Queen Sentiz. In Bernovem, Kristina not only fits in, she's honored as ''the chosen one'', the only one who can release the land from Queen Sentiz's control. But it s not as simple as it seems. To save Bernovem, she must place the gift she was given, the famous ''Magic Warble,'' in its final resting place. And she must travel through the deep forest, climb a treacherous mountain, and risk capture by the queen s ''zelbocks'' before she reaches her destination. Guided by her new fairy friends, Clover and Looper and by Prince Werrien, a teenage boy, as well as an assortment of other characters, Kristina sets off on a perilous journey that not only tests her strength but her heart.

Check out the beautiful cover of Invasion by A. Star!
She invaded his world. He invaded her heart.

I did not want to come here. Earth is but a lifeless ball of matter. Yet, it is worth more than all the galaxies combined. These creatures, these hu-mans, are not worth the labor we exert keeping them alive. But we need them. And I need him. The hu-man who has turned me from my duties, has made me forget my purpose. Everything has changed now. And we are all going to die.

Review: The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead

In the aftermath of a forbidden moment that rocked Sydney to her core, she finds herself struggling to draw the line between her Alchemist teachings and what her heart is urging her to do. Then she meets alluring, rebellious Marcus Finch--a former Alchemist who escaped against all odds, and is now on the run. Marcus wants to teach Sydney the secrets he claims the Alchemists are hiding from her. But as he pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her, Sydney finds that breaking free is harder than she thought. There is an old and mysterious magic rooted deeply within her. And as she searches for an evil magic user targeting powerful young witches, she realizes that her only hope is to embrace her magical blood--or else she might be next.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, the Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive—this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone’s out for blood.

 My Review
Oh my Adrian! Ever since the Bloodlines series began I've been pretty happy for more Adrian Ivashkov and to be rid of Rose Hathaway and Dimitri Belikov (no offense to those who love them) and the third book in the series did not disappoint. I found the story a bit more spread out and not much happened action-wise but there were a ton of SYDRIAN moments so that was a huge plus! We finally meet Marcus Finch and I can't say that I really love him but he was an interesting character. Favorites like Eddie, Jill and Mrs. Terwilliger are back and as demanding as ever but you gotta love them. As for all of the Sydrian moments all I can say is wowza. Adrian is his usual swoon worthy self and I have fallen in love with him all over. Sydian has her usual moments where I think I might slap her for some of the things she does or won't do through the book *coughs* being with Adrian *coughs* but she's still one of my favorite female leads.
I give The Indigo Spell 5 STARS, mainly for the last chapter which was just perfect. Read it and I'm sure you'll agree.

My teaser today is from Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi.

I thought I'd lost the bird, the white bird, the bird with streaks of gold like a crown atop its head. It used to meet me in my dreams, flying strong and smooth, sailing over the world like it knew better, like it had secrets we'd never suspect, like it was leading me somewhere safe.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

My teaser today is from The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead.
We looked up and found Adrian standing above us, dashing in his shades of blue. His face was the picture of perfect politeness and restraint, meaning something disastrous was probably about to happen.
